Goldfields Towing, Transport & Emergency Services or GTT as the business is more commonly known, is a diversified business with its genesis being in vehicle towing; truck and machinery tilt tray transport; transport support services and the emergency services sector. The company boasts blue chip government and corporate customers including equipment hire companies; mine operators and sub-contractors; insurers and financiers as well as roadside assist organisations. These and many other smaller business customers all need to implicitly trust the organisation and the people who are working on their behalf and who, in many situations, are required to reflect and professionally represent the prime customer.
The main GTT depot is based at 44-46 Percy Rd, Broadwood WA (Kalgoorlie) where there is ample room to provide maintenance and storage facilities for GTT equipment as well as house a supply of ISO 20' shipping container for private hire and storage. Kalgoorlie is an ideal location when servicing the needs of the mining and general business communities in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia.
The GTT towing and transport business and brand (along with its sister business Inproof which operates in Melbourne) has been created and is managed in an ongoing manner around the core values of:
- Customer service

GTT Management Team
Michael (Mick) Davidson:
Owner, Managing Director & Operations Manager of GTT
In 1998 Mick purchased his first tilt tray and started Inproof Transport in Tullamarine, Victoria. By 2008 he had increased his fleet size to three tilt trays and a prime mover with drop deck trailer and was starting to specialise in the transport of trucks, construction and earthmoving equipment.
In 2008 Mick had the opportunity to buy Adams Towing which added a further 5 trucks to the fleet. The purchase allowed him to diversify into vehicle towing and provide further growth opportunities. The purchase of the A24 Hour Transport business in 2010 again added to the fleet and gave Inproof even greater diversity in terms of customer base and equipment capability.
Today, Mick still remains as the sole owner of Inproof Towing, Transport & Emergency Services and it is still based in Tullamarine although it now services both greater Melbourne and rural & regional Victoria.
Whilst he is very involved in the overall management of the business, Mick spends a lot of his time in his capacity as a very hands on Operations Manager for Recovery & Heavy Transport Services.
Maureen Dare:
Administration Manager, WA & Vic
Maureen started her career in the towing industry in 1985 when her family bought the Tullamarine based Adams Towing business (founded in 1940). She took over as sole owner of the business in 1996 and managed it very successfully until she decided to sell it to Mick in 2008. Maureen remains with the Inproof business and in her dual capacity of Administration Manager and Operations Manager, Towing Services and brings to the business highly valued skills and a wealth of experience in the towing industry which has expanded to now service the greater Melbourne region.
